Tariff

The minimum tariff set by the Department of Tourism is US $ 200 per person per night but the rates can be higher depending on the nature of services desired. This same rate applies for both the cultural tours and trekking expeditions. This fixed tariff is inclusive of hotels, meals, transportations, guides, entry fees into historical monuments and porters or ponies (if trekking) but if you are going to use luxurious 5 star hotels then you must pay extras over the minimum normal tourist tariff.

For the tour payment transfer, there is nothing to feel insecure about sending money to us or to any of the tour operators in Bhutan such as Bhutan Wilderness Travels. The Department of Tourism (www.tourism.gov.bt) not only controls the tariff but also make sure that you are not deceived under any circumstances. Your tour payment will be taken care of by the Department of Tourism and given to the respective tour operators only after the trip is over. Furthermore, if you want our references please, feel free to ask us.

Visitors can enter Bhutan by road or by flight. You can enter through road from Phuentsholing, a border town to India in the south- western part of the country. If you take the plane, it lands in Paro airport in the western part of Bhutan.
